A few short months ago, Celebrity Summit was a ship that had seen better days. Specialty restaurant-wise, the ship offers Tuscan Grill (a high-end Italian steakhouse), Sushi on 5 (which serves exactly what you’d expect) and Qsine, which puts an unexpected twist on some familiar favorites. This last restaurant is quirky enough that it’s probably not for picky eaters.
Summit Deck Plans
We booked a four-night sailing on the Celebrity Summit, with stops in Nassau and Bimini Bahamas. While the casino can stay hopping fairly late, and the nightclub can keep people dancing, generally speaking, this isn’t a ship on which you’ll find people rocking out until the wee hours of the morning. That crowd tends to go for ships with more bells and whistles than will be found on Summit, where the average age range probably skews between 40-60.
Food and Restaurants on the Celebrity Summit
Expansive views make Ocean View Staterooms the ideal place to unwind at sea. These perfectly indulgent spaces come furnished with Celebrity’s eXhale bedding featuring the luxury size Cashmere Mattress and everything else a modern traveler needs. When you sail on the Celebrity Summit, you’ll be treated to a different show each evening in the main theater. Although there is no bar, passengers can order drinks from a menu through dedicated Retreat servers who provide more intimate service. Concierge Level is another option you can choose when booking a room. AquaClass is another perk level that includes access to the onboard restaurant Blu, complimentary access to the Persian Garden in the spa, a spa concierge, and special in-room amenities. Visit Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier, Ketchican, Inside Passage and Seward.
Our accessible Sky suites feature wider doors, roll-in showers, grab bars and other special features for guests with mobility disabilities and other disabilities. Accessible bathroom with grab bars, raised toilet and lowered sink. While there is plenty for everyone to enjoy on Celebrity Summit, suite passengers will find many more services that cater to them. The Retreat Lounge, for instance, offers concierge service, complimentary drinks and entertainment throughout the day. All the way up on Deck 12, the Retreat Sundeck provides suite passengers with their own sunbathing sanctuary, surrounded by unobstructed ocean views. All of these spaces give cruisers staying in Sky Suites and above a feeling of exclusivity and the ability to enjoy suite perks in private spaces outside of their cabin.
The Art Gallery on Deck 5 hosts a range of sales, auctions and events. An ATM is located within Fortunes Casino on Deck 4 and charges a hefty service fee. Deck 4 also houses the Photo Gallery and Studio, where passengers can purchase professional photos from their cruise. Guest Services, the Captain's Club desk for cruisers who are members of the line's loyalty program, the Destination Concierge and the Shore Excursions desk are located on Deck 3, within the Grand Foyer. The Medical Center on Deck 1 has limited hours; a few over-the-counter remedies, such as Ibuprofen, are offered free from a shelf near the office. Most of Celebrity Summit's evening entertainment venues are located in the forward section of the ship, which makes navigation easy.

Some of the shows are performed by the cast of the Celebrity Summit, while others are performed with guest performers. Café al Bacio & Gelateria – I found myself visiting Cafe al Bacio twice a day during my cruise. This premium coffee shop offers traditional coffee drinks as well as teas and some unique offerings. You can order at the counter, or sit at one of the many tables and get table service.
